Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When i go over bumps, or anything of the sort the front of my car makes a "bump" or "knocking" noise. Weve checked the
shocks, but they are fine. We can't figure out what it is... it just started happening. Can you help out? FYI- I live in Indiana, so
we have a lot of country roads, which might i say, are very pot-holey, Thanks!

Your springs might have sagged overtime. This makes them short which can allow them to start moving around under suspension travel. Raise the car and let the wheels hang down and see if they are loose. If that's not the problem then make sure all the suspension components are tight and your bushing look good. Pay special attention to the sway bar end links, the sway bar bushings, and the upper strut bushings.
