i have a 99 pontiac firebird

Asked by natebeach13 Jun 02, 2013 at 09:02 PM about the Pontiac Firebird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1999 pontiac firebird. The exhaust is broke. Today I go out and try to leave the
check engine light and reduced engine power light is on. It will start and idle fine but
when I put it in gear and hit the accelerator it just bogs down. What's your opinion

First, where is the exhaust broken? Second, what is this "reduced engine power light" that you speak of; new one for me. Third, do you have a V6 or V8 and is the transmission automatic or manual?

Could be crank angle sensor, throttle position sensor, dirty or clogged fuel system, map or , maf sensor, fuel pressure regulator
