Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My g6 check engine came on a couple days
ago. They did. A diagnostics and said catalytic
converters p30 something like that. Well all of
a sudden today as i was driving it started
loosing power, all the dashboard lights
starting coming on and completely shut down
on me. I tried to crank it back up and it
wouldnt start. Guessing it was the battery but
it isnt nor the alternator. Has anybody else
experienced this, if so what is the solution

But what could be draining the battery? Bc once we charged it thecar will turn on perfectly fine then it will die on us bc battery dies all over again

Ok sounds about right. Apparently i took the battery to get charged and came out to it being a bad battrery so i just purchased a new one. Ill just take it to get the catalytic converters fixed bc i did smell a little bit burnt of the front cc

So i just put a new battery in and drove it around for an hour or so and the car has not turned off? Whyy? Its running perfectly fine

Yes seems to be right. Right now the engine light hasnt turned on when it was on for 3 days

mine is hesitating when I press on the gas. I went to the dealer and it was the catalytic converter. They also said to turn off the engine light they needed to change out an actuator and that would cost $300.00
