It can be bypassed, but it would burn pump up,to constant run,the ecm control,s the relay, and tell,s it when and when not to run,if you are just testing would be ok,but other than that ,it would not.
You can pull relay out,you will have to take wire,s or paper clip and stick in where relay go,s,like jumper wire,s.
Baker, by looking at your other question and if you are talking about the same car, forget about the relay for now and first purge all old gas out, if it has SPFI take the fuel line off the throttle body and get all old fuel out of tank, fuel lines, everything. If it has MPFI do it at the fuel rail. Put fresh gas in, it probably has water in it.Gas will remain good for longer than 9 months UNLESS you live in Calif, there is a mandate that all gasoline contain at least 10% de-natured ethanol. aka Moonshine, is really what it is and a very small amount of water, condensation, will render the gas in your tank unusable By the way, it is possible to by-pass the relay but then you would need an off/on toggle switch for fuel pump
Good Morning TST..we did it again..my slow typing. Mark. hehe
I'm a 2004 Grand Am V6 why is it not getting any fire to spark plugs can it be the firing pin I have something to do with the fuel pump not coming on
I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand am and the fuel pump only works when you connected to battery it won't work when you turn the ignition
