Question type: Maintenance & Repair
starter will not turn over, all other electrical equipment works fine except starter will not turn motor over. the last couple of times it was started there was a splint second delay when turning the key to start position before starter engaged. just long enough to make you think something was wrong then it would turn over fine.

Tap lightly on the starter with a wooden hammer handle or something of that nature. It sounds like the starter may have a flat spot. Also what is the battery voltage?
everything i have read leads me to believe it may be the ignition switch, seems these get carbon build up and can't make contact. battery is new and in great shape and the starter turns over fine buy jumping across the solenoid and starter. the car only has 6500 miles on it as it is a show car and doesn't see much use.
yes it could be the ignition switch I replaced it in mine twice once for that and also because my heater fan would only run on high speed. i also ended up replacing the wire from one of the maxi fuses in the engine bay to under dash. but check the ignition switch first they're very common and are available at any dealer or parts store.
