Too bad Pontiac didn't make a 2008 GTO. But for the 2005 and 2006 that is the engine size.

They did make one its just called a G8. Replaced the Grand prix but is basically the new GTO

Yeah if you're convinced that poorer gas mileage, 20-30 less horsepower, and 4-doors is a comparable model simply because its a 6-liter V8

its either 6.0 liter which is in the 06 and 05 or a 5.7 which is in the 04 i own an 04 and love it i know its an ls1 not an ls2 but truely their is only minute differences between the 2 and i can easily have the same horsepower as an 05 or 06 the g8 is not the final replacement for the GTO they Lutz was reported to be considering a 2011 gto with the 2 door g8 from Aussie land

gm hasn't made a gto since summer of 2008 "if" they release another, it won't be until after the new camaro has been out a little bit
