what is lenght of the front axle stud plate to stud plate

i have 1974 dodge power wagon chasy restored  i am putting a1959 chevy on it  in 74 dodge the front axle was longer than the rear front being 673/4 rear 621/4   origanal 59 chevy axels being 62 my problem the front tires fitting in wheel wells  i have been told that late 70s 4x4 would be my best choice can you give help

Head over to JeepForum.com - there's a lot of activity there and someone should be able to point you in the right direction. The 1979 Cherokee had a wide wheel option (57R IIRC) so you might be able to add the steel fender flares for additional clearance. -- There's a picture of one like mine in my Guru garage
