Codes p0300 and p0172

I have a 2007 jeep grand Cherokee l fitted a new water pump now it runs  rough it
has the engine light on with codes p0300 and p01172 I have cleared the codes
and still  runs  rough don't know what to do please can you  help   me

P0300 is a generic misfire code, that could mean many things, as the P1172. https://www.engine-codes.com/p0171_jeep.html. If it just started after the water pump replacement, I would suspect you forgot to hook up an electrical connection or you broke a wire or hose. Recheck your work.
