Jeep liberty problems with engine misfires
It seems to me this issue is a very
serious problem with COUNTLESS jeep
liberty models and they should be on
national recall to fix this serious issue
because driving them on the roadways
is dangerous. How many people have
reported this issue to the national
highway safety council?

The Grand Cherokees are plagued with the same issue. It is a global Chrysler problem. I am uncertain what the current status is and if it is being recognized.
I have the same problem since day one with my 2006 Jeep Liberty... What to do?

I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty and it also has misfiring problems. It's been overheating only when idling here lately and then started having big time problems so I replaced the engine Cooling temperature sensor ET C also replaced the throttle body position sensor then replaced the manifold pressure sensor known as the map sensor and it runs a lot better but still have a cylinder 3 misfire and it also has started overheating a little bit when idling I've changed the thermostat radiator cap I checked my catalytic converters can anybody give any more insight on this oh yes also I've checked all the coils and spark plugs
Hi there I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Freedom Edition it has about 203,900 miles on it and it wont pass the emissions test in New York State the other day I was driving it a P0138 code came on and it was Sensor 1 bank 2 downstream oxygen sensor which I replaced 3 months ago. There is a small exhaust leak after that oxygen sensor could that be my reason its not passing the emissions test. If any one out there can help me thanks Matt.
