I'm concerned about the weight of friend exceeding the weight capacity of the front
passenger seat.  What, if any, is the max weight capacity recommended by Jeep or any
other independent testing lab?

Sounds like information from some unrealistic, unknowing, lack of common sense govt agency, think tank, some left wing research group. But, thank you for passing this on---I know its not your view. I wonder how the auto industry would/did respond to this recommendation.
