I love my volvo, have put a lot of work, time and money, so if anyone has advice on this orange arrow thing please respond, Thanx and God Bless!

In short, it means there is a transmission fault. A switch or sensor inside the trans has probably gone bad and it needs to be fixed. A good shop or a Volvo dealership would be able to take care of it, but it's not really something that's going to be a cheap, easy fix.
