How do I check 2000 Honda Passport transmission fluid

The Passport doesn't have a dipstick to check the oil. Under the vehicle on the passenger side, the transmission has two plugs. The lower one is the drain plug and the upper one is the fill plug. To check the level, stick your finger in the upper hole and the fluid should be right at the edge of the bottom of the opening, with the engine running and in park position. If low, the easiest way to fill is with a 3 foot length of clear tubing attached to a funnel that you hang on the upper part of the passenger door. Start the truck and shift through all the gears back and forth then leave it in park with the engine running. Put a pan under the tranny, remove the plug, insert the tubing into the opening and slowly pour Dextron ATF fluid (it's a GM tranny) until it dribbles out the opening. Shift through all the gears again and repeat the process until it won't take more fluid. BE CAREFUL and don't get any ATF fluid on the paint!. Put plug back in.

I just did this with my SUV and I didn't have any idea at first what I was doing. I didn't read how to do it till just now, I just figured that was the way and luckily I did do it right. The only thing I didn't do is have it running while I put the fluid in and I didn't shift thru the gears but it still did great and it's driving great too. It's shifting perfectly and going thru all the gears just like it's supost to so hopefully from here on I have know more problems with it, at least as far as the transmission goes. Thanks for this site, even know I didn't use it, lol, I'm glad to know I did it right anyway. Lol Good luck to everyone else that has to do this, it's not hard to do at all.
