I have soot from the exhaust. Also car runs bogged down alot. 2000 H22

I just replaced the CatConvrtr and plugs/wires. the car runs boggd down and wont accelerate worth a crap even at 5k rpm. also tons of soot on the backend. motorz got 72k on it. WTF?

Yeah dude thats kinda weird, i get some soot and im bogged down every once in a while but im running a big exhaust with stock header and i have almost 160K. Is it injectors maybe?

You also might want to check if you are runnng lean or Rich. Check you timing adv or retard it a bit and see what happens

you need to check your fuel filter do you have an check eng light? if so take the car to auto zone and have then run a diagnostic tool on the car

check your injectors and your valves. and replace the fuel filter. when u check your injectors and valves make sure u clean them both out.
