my prelude engine says h22a..its semi automatic and has sunroof and its a 5th gen model...how do i know what type it is such as sir or type s

A simple google search should answer the question easily - depends where you live and where the car was sold ~ [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude#Fifth_generation_.281997.E2.80.932001.29[/url] the engines were shared across all models with only the JDM Type S getting a power & torque bump.

your car is just a regular base model prelude, the type SH of the 5th gen only comes in manual.
