though not a complete list, but things to consider -stronger front springs for increased weight of the engine -bigger radiator / different radiator shroud -mounts maybe in a different location and design, so there would probably we some welding involved -wiring is also going to be different assuming the 2.8L is fuel injection -make sure the transmission, drive shaft, rear axle are strong enough to handle additional horsepower and torque -may have to get ignition switch/key from a donor LT1 vehicle or improvise a PASS-Key security bypass it is a big project, not impossible to tackle, just depends on how much time/money you want to spend and your metal fabrication skills or if you know someone with fabricating skills

I'd find an LS1(being superior in every way minus cost) but if you can't - just make sure you have a doner car to pull parts from there are always various random bolts, brackets, etc that you will find yourself needing. Usually you can find something thats been totalled but the drivetrain is fine that they are willing to part with for cheap.

no way go get an lt1 they can make big power, and there easier to install there based on old 350s and there is alot let fabricating to get it just find a donor car wrecked preferably. and they cost alot less to build and parts are everywhere. you can build a 1000hp lt4 383 with a procharger for alot less than an ls1

im guessing that there is no way he wants to have a 1000 hp street engine. and an ls1 is easier to get hp out of and be streetable.

i think an lt1 is a completley diffrent block than a normal 350, they have an auqua distributor that sits under the water pump becuase all the camaros/ firebirds that used them had the firewall overlaping the rear of the engine. cant say i wouldnt love one tho, there fairly simple fuel inj systems and are good to like 6500 rpm, ls1s are more expensive usualy and the more complecated the fuel inj systems get the more expensive they are to mod

but they are both great engines, id kill for either

I am looking for headers that will fit the 96 camaro chassis but will fit a 92 sb 350. I have done the swap, went from a 3.8 to the 5.7 new tranny, going to a stand alone system. Cant seem to find headers that will fit and not hit the steering column.
