Can you still drive the Car (i.e drive it to a workshop) if the shifter cable is broken

Yes, just manually select gear from top of transmission, just remember to use your emergency brake otherwise the car will roll.

my 2012 nissan altima will go in reverse and neutral, but when it goes in drive it still says in neutral and the car wont move forward
