I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu just change the fuel
pump a month ago. Was running fine just started
dying on me I was driving and it died now I can't get
it to start trying to see what the problem is can you
please help I also changed the fuel filter I've
changed the sensor I've gotten a new battery and
still nothing
I am having a similar problem. This has happened to me three times in the last nine months. I have found that if I disconnect and reconnect the battery, apparently a reset occurs and I can restart the car. An OBD scan did not show any stored codes. If you can, get an OBD scanner and check the code BEFORE you disconnect the battery. You could rent an OBD scanner from AutoZone. I am going to be checking the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors, connectors and wiring. Supposedly if there are no reference pulses from these, the ECM will open the ground circuit to the fuel pump, not allowing the fuel pump to run.
Also these cars have problems with the wiring going to the fuel pump from the fuel pump relay which is in the trunk . Many people have said that the wiring at the pin where it plugs into the fuse box overheats and creates a bad connection. Sometimes by wiggling the relay the problem is temporary fixed.
