My ignition switch won't turn. It's been sitting for about a year, but I never had this problem before. What could cause it to lock up that way?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Clutch pedal springs back but it doesn't feel like it's
engaged the clutch. Fluids are full. Does the clutch have to
be engaged for the ignition switch to unlock?

Not to unlock it but clutch pedal will have to be pressed for it to crank. Try turning your steering wheel to the left as you turn the key.

Try turning the steering wheel and have your foot on the brake as you turn the key. Is there any juice in the battery? If it has been setting for a year, it may be on the deceased list.
