91 s10 2.8 5 speed manuel swap to a 700r4. What all do I need to know?

First thing is the engine is underpowered for that transmission, engine flex plate instead of a flywheel, the ECM will ned to be flashed for an automatic if you can find someone that can do it to something that old, you can get by with a floor shifter, then there is the wiring, backup lights, safety switch, driveline modifications, speedometer cable, transmission cooling, exhaust rework, transmission mount reworking. Gonna be a big job. Best to not even try.

A '91 is OBD I. You would need to find the correct PROM to go into the correct ECM. Flashing isn't done on this system. Jim
