Chevy s10 06

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So the fuel pump and filter have been fixed
cause that's what the read was on it from
auto zone. However it will only run for
maybe 5 mins and truck will die????  What
are some suggestions!??? Please and
thank you

My husband said check the throttle body- it could be sucking air once it heats up the gasket may be separating causing it to be getting too much air and shut down.

Without knowing more symptoms like how it dies out, does it just kill the engine immediately or slowly lose power and sputter out? Battery good? Does it spin over good? Does it start right back up after a few minutes of sitting? Could be a pinched fuel line, tps, map sensor. Is the throttle responsive?

Could also spray carb and choke cleaner atound the base of the intake while it's running. If it sputters it's most likely a bad intake gasket.
