i dont beat on my truck and and i put a chip in it for better gas milage i have a k&n filter and i just cleaned it but it still doesnt get any better gas milage, the check engine soon light has been on for over a year, i took my truck to a mechanic and he doesnt know whats going on..
i did get about 16 or 18 mpg when i bought this truck and 1 of my friends needed a vehicle so he used my truck, and since i got it back from him my truck gets about 5 mpg!!

Go to Auto Zone and they can tell you what your code is, go from there>

yep. thats what i would do too. diagnostic check is free there. also, im guessing that the chip is probably causing this problem. with a stock o2 sensor with the chip its probably throwing off a reading. might need a different o2 sensor with the chip. jsut a thought. autozone will be more help
