Why does my truck shut off on me while i'm driving?

It will run fine, but then when i'm driving the a/c will stop my lights will all go to blinking and it will shut off. It takes a while for it to turn back on. But when it does I have no power. I can floor it and it'll only go like 10mph. And the drivers side air will blow cold but the passenger side air will blow hot.

It could be a ground issue, alternator load - battery/voltage regulator issue (GM uses an alternator with an internal regulator), or possibly the problem could be traced to a dealer installed option, such as a remote start. Trace the ground wires, especially the frame under the driver's side door, and make sure the battery terminals have no corrosion on them and they are on tight.
