i have a 1991 chevy siverado all gears work but reverse

I would check the transmission mounts and the guide sleeves for the linkage up the column~ adjust if you can....sometimes there is a turnbuckle~

F%^in 700r4. Sounds internal. There is a sprag clutch on the output shaft in the tranny that fails and causes the loss of reverse. The part is only about 20.00 but it is a lot of work to get to it.
