how do i reset needles on all the instument gauges on a 05 silverado?

replaced stepper motors and bulbs in cluster. they look and work great. only thing is gauges a bit off , any one know how to pop off needles and rewind the motors?

needles are pressed straight on the pin, although very delicate can be pressed on any angle

I guess a better way to phrase question is , is there a process to calibrating gauges to the accurate zero for each gauge? how does a DIC repair shop calibrate them?
I take and turn off the engine. Turn the key to the ignition position. Turn the key forward till the guages go off without hiting the starter.go back and forth till the guages read zero.
