VIN# 2GCFK24K4J116XXX, Is this a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton truck?

2500 series is a 3/4 ton

Thank you for the reply! Why then, does my mechanic son-in-law tell me that 3/4 ton trucks should have 8 lug wheels? Thanks, Rob

not sure ill ask one of my buddys who is a big chevy guy and let you know. I have a c10 1500 4x4 and it is a 1/2 ton it has 6 lugs and my other buddy has a 04 chevy 2500 4x4 and it has 8 lugs. ill get back

ok so he said they had chevy trucks called a heavyhalf. like a hd 1/2 ton pickup... so it sounds like you have a beefed up 1/2 ton... hope this help
