2006 Duramax water in oil contamination

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
The truck does not misfire but it smokes a lot of white smoke, and has water in the oil. I changed the head gasket and the oil but the truck still smokes and it still contaminates the oil with water. I was wondering if someone knew what the problem is.

When you replaced the head gaskets did you have the heads checked for cracks and warpage?
are you sure it is water in the oil and not fuel. lots of white smoke could also mean the injectors are leaking
Yeah I was going to say what Keegan said. My friend had a 2003 Duramax (different engine code) and his was smoking also. Come to find out after I did a little reading, his injectors were going bad. So he replaced them with newer upgraded injectors (you dont need upgraded ones) and it ran just fine, no white smoke at all
the injector jackets or sleeves could have an internal leak but you would notice water/sludge in the oil cao and dip stick also steam comming out from the crankcase when howere the injector sleeve removed and resealed ? good luck
