Where is the dipstick for checking transmission fluid on a 1989 Suburban 2500 with a 454 engine?

I think my transmission fluid may have been leaking and I want to check the fluid level, but I don't know what the handle for the dipstick looks like.   Is it the red, rectangular-shaped handle located just left of center, at the back of the engine near the firewall?

It could also be a locking dipstick. It will be orange usually and shaped kinda an upside down J...
