2003 Chevy Tahoe FWD
My Tahoe has 205,000 miles on the original automatic transmission. The gears
are not engaging properly. When I step on the accelerator the RPMs rap up
pretty high before it slowly shifts into the next gear. Why would that be
happening? Can or should it be repaired or do I need to have a new
transmission installed? I’m guessing my Tahoe is worth about $5,000 give or
take. Is it worth it to install a new transmission? I can’t do the repairs myself
so a shop would have to do the repairs. Any idea how much it will cost to
either repair or replace the transmission?
