how long does it take to get paid once vehicle is picked up?

You are at the mercy of the purchaser. Make it a practice of having the cash (not just a check) in your hand before releasing the car to the buyer. Hopefully, your buyer is honest and just a little late getting your money to you. Talk to the person and ask for it.

Never ever release a vehicle or the title until you have payment in full!! A friend let a buyer take a vehicle he was selling after receiving partial payment. My friend held the title. He's still holding the title 33 years later! The car was reported stolen but was never recovered!! I hope you're not in the same situation!! Jim
