first off is there any power going to any of the other switchs on that door panel?? ei power locks power mirrors other windows door speaker?? if its just the 1 window most likely you need to replace either the window motor or the switch itself inspect wiring in door jam some times itll will freeze up nd opening the door will crack or break wires or it could just be a fuse

What's the problem if the driver side panel won't work at all as far as rolling down the windows or locking/ unlocking the doors. The dome lights won't even come on when drivers side door is open. Now tonight the back passenger right window will roll down but not back up.

Mona, there is a recall for that master switch on the drivers side, can actually start a fire. Call the dealer. If your vehicle VIN # isn't on it, you need a new master switch. All years are in fact affected by that faulty switch regardless of what they say. Very easy swap, the top plastic pops right up, remove the switch, very easy. Note: if you decide to by a new one and do it yourself, it will need to be programmed by the dealer. If you decide to go to junkyard (I did), no programming is necessary. However, while you're in the junkyard, call the dealer and read the #'s off the switch to the dealer on the phone. They'll tell you if it's an updated one already over the phone.

I have a 2003 chevy trailblazer, and the drivers side power windows doesn't work. I have removed the door frame and disconnected the power window door module. How do I fix this, and where is the power window fuse box?

I have a 2003 Silverado Ext Cab 4x4 LT, first vehicle I've had with no rust, fully loaded with options and they all worked. I was amazed, I just bought a year ago and it only had 103 thousand miles on it and ran great. 1st thing I had to replace was the gauge cluster, which was a snap. The next problem was drivers side power window quit working, but everything else worked. Traced to the motor and ordered another one. It came with a 6 tooth gear and mine had 1/2 squared, same as the regulator gear. I checked everywhere for a motor for it. Somebody had been inside the door panel before as the plastic was gone. It looked like I would have to buy a new regulator. Last ditch effort, I took motor apart and lubed everything up and put it back in and it started working. That was 7 to 8 months ago, now it is not working again, I took the door panel off again, and then everything went screwy if it had anything to do with windows, door locks,(they go on and off),and side view mirrors, worked, then didn't. My windows, mirrors, and door locks now have gremlins in them, they work all by themselves. Pretty sure after reading all the comments , it has to be a short in the boot oh what fun. I once had to strip a 70 Caddy dash until all was left was the steering wheel. Traced the short down to the biggest wire loom. Cut it open and found a broken hot and a couple other wires that were cracked. I spliced and taped and now had to put it back together. Everything worked afterwards. Just hate shorts takes to long to find it. A fuse no problem. Any way I would like to say thanks to all the commenters and their problems and how they fixed it, it helped me make up my mind of where to go next. I am an old time mechanic, and I just work on my own cars now, as long it doesn't have anything with the computer. In the last 40 some years, I am the only person that worked on my cars. I finally had to realize certain problems I need somebody with all the equipment and knowledge. My friends dad had a shop and heard he was good and be trusted. Took it to him and fixed it and didn't cost near what I thought. But if I can fix it I will, kills my back, but mechanics are stubborn.

How lucky I was. GO FIND A JUNK YARD AND get a door switch from the same year. The dealership wanted $450.00 for a new master door switch plus $125.00 to program, As my 2005 Envoy XL has the same problem mine caught fire (very stinky ) But that year is not on the recall list I've tried many options but no help. I DID NOT HAVE TO GET THE USED ONE PROGRAMED as the new ones you do so I hear. I will cover mine with clear plastic because rain water is what destroys them. Ask your junk yard friends if you can try before you buy as these are easy to get damaged. I got one with a different color but the top can be pryed off and the old top fit on the new one . The plugs are easy/hard to get off you just need to work with the tiny screwdriver to pry the tabs up before pulling the plug out. Both my drivers and passengers door switches got fried It took me 6 months to find one in a junk yard at a cheep price. I got mine at a U-Pull-it junkyard where was cheaper than most junk yards, The difference $25 Vs. $65. Vs. Waiting 6 months. Just happy I had a sunroof and it was mostly winter anyways.

I've been looking it up and it's a bad window control module. You just need a new one.

Replaced master door window switch driver door window locks or windows will not roll up down any windows or locks but each individual passenger window works

You likely need a new drivers for module. To check it, pop out the passenger side control module and plug it in the driver's side. If the window and the locks work, you need a new ddm (used is easier and cheaper since it comes programed already- you'll need to have a dealer program the module of its brand new).
