replacement arm has a metal collar in the opening that goes over the motor extension that doesn't allow it to fit (too small with the collar). do you pop the metal collar out? the opening would appear to be big enough.
That collar need to be there. Try folding the arm back, not sure but might pull it back and once installed, letting the arm back down to the window may lock it back in place. Just guessing here, there has to be a way to move it back.
Did you figure out how to get new arm on? I"m having the same problem getting the new one to fit
