problem with motor sound from underneath when up on jack stands van is not runing when this happens

Hi I just got this van and had it up on jack stands doing some work.The van was not running but there was a sound coming from underneath the van,it sounds like a small motor going on about every 10 to 15 min..its so weird anyone have an idea what this could be...thanx

it is very likely the auto leveling device trying to level the van. Unhooking the battery should prevent this from happening, however if you do this you will lock the electronics of the system and have to enter the unlock code that you entered when you purchased the van.
