venture tranny slipping neeed help if any

my transmission drives for a few minutes then revs up not catching gear reverse works fine 3,2,1 work but run high rpms drive drives then high rps barley move is my tranny totally shot or can this be a pump or something

Well its definitely a internal issue that will require removing the transmission so the answer is unless its a low mileage van it should just be rebuilt since your taking it out anyway . Hope that helps Kenny Speed PS just so you know ,as a rule the tranny bussiness works on a very high mark up so you can always beat them up and get a better deal .you should be able to find someone to do it for 1300 to 1500 hundred if you work at it. yea thanks took a look looks like the sun plate wore out fluid burnt smell and almost like water she got heated up pretty good just probally end up swap in it out wifes van lol miles high not worth alot of money

I could buy another 99 venture for what it cost to rebuild the tranny its ridiculous. Mine does the same thing wish I knew if there were any other components that could prevent the tranny from shifting after a few miles
