Now im sorry i don't know that car like i do others but with alot of cars when gears start to slip and even when in gear it wont move try replacing the transmission fluid. If that does not work try a whole new transmission if you dont want to spend money then i would get professional help.

I just had this problem today I drove home from work car was fine hopped back in put the car in reverse nothing happened then put it in drive still nothing...the problem you are having is the shifter cable. The bushing has probably worn out which caused it to disconnect you can order a new bushing kit from auto zone or advanced auto parts takes about 5 minutes to put on problem solved
