My Dakota rt won't go past 115 ever scence I got tho oil chnged the revomitor kicks in and the truk cuts out how do I fix this

It will have to be a programmer that can re-flash the ecu. Just make sure you can change the rev-limiter with it before buying. ECU piggyback systems may also do the job for you.

Superchip....., hypertech will as well I believe. But it had absolutely nothing to do with you changing the oil

turn the ignition key. (so i've heard) it kills all the electronics including the governer. It wont hurt your starter, the starter will not work if your car is in Drive or if you have the clutch out on MT

before you hit the limiter, you have to turn the key forward and hold it, like your trying to start. IIRC the gauges don't work when you do this

yes.... although I'm not sure why you want to.... i don't remember if the limiter kicks back on when you let go of the key tho The best way is with a programmer or a PCM flash
