will a 98 318 v8 easily replace a 4.7 v8 in dodge durangos

I think you have to replace everything with it, totally different engines, 318 or the 5,2 is closer to the 360 or 5,9. You would also have to check if the tranny will fit or if you will need a new one or possible a plate to adjust the tranny to the 5,2 if you can get one. You will need a new computer with it to. not sure about the mountings if you need to change those or get new ones. But everything is possible just a question about how much it may cost.

you need the transmission, wiring harness, engine mounts, and all accessories from a 5.9 Durango. you might be able to use the computer from a 5.2 Dakota. you will probably not pass emissions.
