main vent works but cannot select defrost or feet or head/feet how do I fix this and will it cause serious damage if I have to wait to fix it?

This morning tried to defrost windshield only to find won't let me select it... I can change it
to head, feet, defrost etc and nothing happens just air coming from main vents. Temp and
speed change just fine.

Sounds like you mode/blend door actuator is bad. What year model is it? So I can get you more info on how to repair.

What did you find out. Mine is doing this now. Except mine is stuck on defrost.
