03 neon stalling

Asked by diyneon Aug 25, 2015 at 06:18 PM about the Dodge Neon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased an 03 neon SE and it didn't start, I fixed the wiring harness to the ECU and now it runs and drives fine as long as I don't put too much pressure on the engine, If I do it'll throw a crank position sensor intermittent code and possible stall. The voltage is 14volts with everything running full tilt and stays there, I changed the crank and cam sensor as well which didn't fix the issue. If I put it in park and rev it high it'll either cut right out or go really low rpms and almost choke itself.

Turns out there were several pinched/broken wires on the black and white plugs, also found the new crank sensor not being oem was a problem, put oem in haven't had an issue for months.
