compared to tundra
I have a 2002 ram 1500 with 148000 miles. needs head gaskets and catalytic converter. I think it's time to get something new, really like the dodge but have been hearing a lot about the tundra regarding reliability and such. What do you think?

from what i have heard, toyota and ford have about the same reliability. i am really big on dodge myself, but i am not very fond of the reliability on my father's 2006 dodge ram 1500. we had many problems with it. from what i have heard though, the 2009 rams are better.
the new dodge is has the best warranty there is. its a lifetime powertrain warranty. the next best is 100k. also the new ram has the best interior, and most hp of its class. although it does have the weakest towing capabilites. check caranddriver for the chevy, dodge, ford, toyota comparison. all have strengths. see what truck fits you best. it was a great article.
I have been driving a 2005 Ram 5.7 liter SLT. Loved it for 96K now. I was in the shop yesterday and the guys were amazed I still had the original battery and it was still poppin off like a new one. I live in Minnesota too, and that battery has been through some serious cold! I have pulled a 2 horse gooseneck trailer with this vehicle and am on the 3rd set of tires and the 3rd set of brakes. I could not have asked for a more durable and dependable ride. I have to agree that the interior is .......fugly, but the new ones look great. I would always stick with Dodge, for style and toughness.
