Not sure if they're set up the same, but it was easier on my Dakota to lift the box up to get to the fuel pump.
The best and easiest way to do this job,, 1) there is a total of eight bolts holding on the bed to the frame remove three bolts starting from the cab area toward the rear of the truck but leave the last bolt in but loosen it up to were it is almost out like maybe have a total of two full turns left before it is out then do the same on the other side so you now removed a total of six bolts and loosened two all the way at the end of the truck but do not remove them, ok now open gas door and remove the three small 8mm bolts or may be screws this lets the filler neck be disconnected from the pick up bed. now on the right side of the truck there will be a ground strap that you will need to remove the one 10mm bolt and this now is removed and the bed now can be Jacked up with a regualer floor jack with a two by four board from middle of truck bed and at the front of the bed by the cab area, note should put a few rags inbetween the bed and cab so bed wont scratch cab of truck cause when your jacking it up it will rub or scratch the cab,,, but it is and will touch each other ,,,, so by this time the jack being just about fully extended you now have access to the top of the tank and you are able to pull pump asymbly out with no spills or haveing to remove the gas tank...good luck and dont be scared its real easyyou will have the pump out in a hour if all tools are ready and board is cut and ready.

You cant siphon gas from these tanks there is a mesh designed to prevent it.
or, you can do the smart thing and remove the filler neck hose from the tank and syphon it out that way, to remove the pump, the easiest way with out having the right tool, is larger standard tip screwdriver/prybar, and a small 3 lb hammer, to turn the lid, after that its all pretty much self explanatory, just take your time, otherwise youll be able to do all of this very quick lol i can have my own bed and fuel pump removed in less than 20 minutes haha
Be sure to support that bed with more than a jack. A four or five foot 4x4 post will do the trick in case that jack slips out of the way.
