05 ram 1500 has small red light blinking and truck will not start?

have the computer scanned for codes. you may be able to rent a code reader, basic ones aren't very expensive though.

I had the same problem on my 05 ram security light was on solid in dash display.. Checked battery cranking amps, crank shaft sensor

Replaced.. Turned out it was on the other end of the battery cables the connections were loose

Good advice Mdp. First thing to check anytime there is an electrical problem is the battery / connections / cables.
