Asked by Larry Apr 30, 2016 at 08:08 PM about the Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Car Customization

I am rebuilding my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500
so what I did was kept the body from my
2003 Dodge Ram and got a salvage 2012
Dodge Ram hemi and I put the body on to
the frame of the 2012 so my question would
be is I'm at the point where I need to do all
the wiring and the wiring from my 2003
Dodge is a little different than the 2012. So I
have all the wires from the 2012 and need to
put them into my 2003 Dodge Ram does
anybody know how or where I can find out
how to do this

First, make sure you use every possible control from the 2012 and refit the '12s instrument cluster into the '03s dash its a must.. try and keep the '12s wiring intact as much as possible, modify the '03s cab and chassis to accept the '12s wiring and accessories. That will help reduce some of the work even so you're going to be doing a lot of work reading schematics and tracing circuits. This is more work than adapting a crate engine to factory fuel injection without a harness! all hand designed and fabricated. It can be done just lots of hours and concentration. Make sure to record and keep a "PATTERN" of wire colors and lengths, changes and splices etc.. You could probably market it when your done!! Regards
