Is changing the camshaft for high performance with Non
MDS lifters get rid of the Gas saving feature on my truck, is
this why the valve springs snaps on most hemi 5.7
engines???
Chrysler Corp. spent millions designing that engine to work well under all circumstances and give decent mileage, whatever you change well? Look at it this way, the engine produces X amount of power you can change cams or cranks or whatever and you can have a lot of power to burn rubber on the low end but you're taking power from the top end and putting it on the bottom. Of course you can do stuff like bore and stroke it but then you have a whole different engine. Does this make sense?
