Ram Mega Cab 3500, Dually 4x4 Traction Control Issues

Asked by GuruND7CL Oct 10, 2019 at 03:08 PM about the Dodge RAM 3500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A couple of months ago the truck brakes would pulse/shudder ever now and
then.  Now the traction control kicks in and out - with dash light blinking on
and off.  I have to fight the wheel to keep control, and when its happening
(even though I have let off the fuel pedal) the Traction control keeps
engaging, then cutting out.  If I step on the brake to try to stop for a light or
traffic, the brakes pulse and do not want to engage.  I though it might be the
sensor being dirty or bad, but there is one road i can take it to and every
single time it starts with the problem.  Any ideas? this happens whether the
TCS is on or off.

Take it to the dealer and see if there's a recall for it! If you have the extended warranty, take it to the dealer and see if it's covered under warranty! It's in the drivetrain so it should be covered! Pay the dealer 100.00 and they fix the problem! Hope this helps

I have extended on drive train, but did not know this would fall under that category. I have checked the recalls and cannot find anything related. Thanks
