Cracked block

1991 Dodge3500 turbo
diesel Cummins motor,
5speed dulley pickup
truck NOT4x4. Driven w
NO ANTIFREEZE last
winter. Freezer plug
pushed out when they
checked underhood after
driving 20 miles on
highway. Evidence of
liquid in oil on DIPSTICK,
none on radiator
cap(oil&water) does this
mean cracked block, for
sure? AND should I be
able to visually see
cracked block from the
outside?

Only 1 cylinder head to remove. Having water only in an engine and letting it freeze is never a good thing and can be very expensive.
