My C240 stopped running while driving down the road...It was HOT, I had the Crankshaft Sensor Replaced. Can I expect repeats of this every time it is HOT or will the replaced part prevent future occurances?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving in traffic, My C240 just stopped running and would not start.  I had it in and the Crankshaft Sensor was replaced.  I have researched this problem and suspect that HEAT may have been the culprit.  Should I be concerned with future stopages, even with the new sensor, anytime it gets really HOT?
Thanks

I would not be too concerned with repeat performances like this one. It sounds like the Crank position sensor failed internally, and when it got hot, the failure evidenced itself. The new part should cure this problem.
