Asked by TheSpeedKing Jul 18, 2007 at 02:31 PM about the Dodge Viper

Question type: General

I really wanna know how fast this car can go on a straight away? and would it be fast enough to lose the police easily? I love fast cars and I hear and see on da internet that there sayin the Viper is one of the fastest cars in the world. So that's why I want one. The fastest one avaliable.

Top speed is about 195. The fastest street legal car is a Bugatti Veyron, so if you've got an extra $1,000,000 you should find yourself one of those!

Dodge clain that the SRT-10 can do 197mph, 0-60 in 4 seconds, however the Bugatti Veyron is way faster getting from 0-250 in 55 seconds...

You want a hennessy venom 1000 twin turbo viper..it beat the veyron to the 200 mph marker..it took the veyron 24.2 seconds while the viper made 200 mph in only 20.3.. i think its top speed is somewhere around 230 mph and it ONLY costs a qurater million..way less than the veyron

As far as the police go, you might be able to lose them once or twice, but you can't outrun a Motorola. Also, once they've chased you, they know who you are, and where you live. They can come pick you up from your home/work.

ummm... if you can find a 2007 Dodge Viper let me know, Dodge never made a 2007 Viper!! Dodge went from the 2006 model to the 2008, they skipped the 2007 model because they were working on improvements for 2008. If you are really going to talk like you know the facts, you better get the right facts!! Go to your local Dodge dealer and ask them for yourself, or just browse the internet.

no 07 model lol but in 08 it says 220 on the speedo but at 185 it gets kinda scary so i backed off dunno really how fast it would go if you had enough road. It does however do 155 with 2 gears left lol its not the fastestest forshure a new vette gave me a hell of a run to 120 before i left him..

for the 2008, it's 203 mph . they never made a 2007 model, stupid.

vipers should be the last on your list. if you wanted to run from the cops you need a good handling car like a porche 911 or lotus all you will do with a viper is kick the ass end out all the time. oh and as for the cop thing if they wanted to pursue you, lets just say that you cant outrun the cop CB.

First of all they didn't make Vipers in 2007, but the 2008 models have been tested so far at 202 mph and the acceleration is 0-60 in about 3.4 to 3.5 seconds depending on how good your shifting is.
