Looking at a used Audi allroad quatro ... How do I make sure I buy into a warranty that will cover all the problems I expect to incur?

Before you buy the car, read the waranty documents before you sign them.
skip the warranty. They never cover the part that fails; warranties are designed to be profitable. Instead of buying one set aside $50 per month. I used to buy them automatically...yet never filled out a claim. If your really concerned, get a warranty on the trans. A failed reverse solenoid will cost $4,000 min.
