Ok if all of that happened when you put in the stereo you need to take it back out ASAP. Did you use an installation harness or did you cut off the factory plugs and hard wire it the hard way?

Sounds like you disturbed wiring for the trans while installing the stereo. The Oxygen sensor may be at the end of it's life. They usually have a very low voltage output (.3 to .9 VDC) and the precious metal (platinum) wire sometimes begins to fail causing the output to vary

Michael, my name is Michael too... and we both ducked up aye? Same thing happened to me just now, Car won’t turn over, turning key in ignition completely freaks out all electronics in the car (locks, lights, bell ringing). May i ask how you remedied the situation and how much the cost was? Thank you, I hope you’re somehow still connected to this page..

I bought a pursuit for 1 grand...mint car shit i teriir with no stereo...plugged in an alpine and the gauges started dancing and the car shut down....and powers steering warning on gauges... i pulled the harness apart with the car running and put each wire into the other harness one at a time...right rear speaker wire shut the car down. Dead short in the wire and these cars send dtc's through the stereo....ran stand alone speaker wires to fronts and rears. And bought factory subwoofer wired ro aftermarket amp. No dtc. Never had a problem since

And make sure you grab your 12 volt constant from a reliable source. That will cause nothing but headaches
