Is there a big difference in the CL63 and the CL65? (power delivery to weight) does it seem sluggish? E63 I have driven and felt the thrust of.

Question type: General

I have recently sold my 996 turbo and brought a bmw 335i convertible for the summer sun cruise and was hoping to buy a 2nd
car CL65 AMG, however after owning the BMW for 6 weeks now I am missing the porsche turbo so I am thinking if i was to sell the
BMW and rather then buying my self a CL65 as the budget wont allow me to buy that and a 997 turbo! so if i get a CL63 and then
get rid of the BMW and add a bit more money and find my self a good looked after used 997 turbo would be the right choice.

Is there a big difference in the 2 CL models?

cl63 is more a more newer advanced engine, its a downsized 6.3 that is actually a 5.5, hardly any difference in 0-60, but quite difference in top end as its a v8 running 536bhp. The CL65 is a V12 running over 620bhp so of coarse has more on the top end, if unlimited of coarse. Brakes, suspension etc are same on both. Only the V12 had stepped back to 5 gears instead of 6 but with 3 comfort settings
